Precious Girls

I have to just say my girls are so very thoughtful. They teach me so much about thinking and serving others. One of our favorite things every year is "Operation Christmas Child". I would love for one day our whole family actually go overseas and deliver these boxes face to face with the children receiving them. . . . prayerfully one day we will get to do that, if the Lord wills.

Meanwhile, we do get excited about shopping for them and filling them. This year my friend, Christina, encouraged us to do more than normal. We did 6, but next year I think we're going to bump it up to 12. She had great ideas about looking for clearance items at the end of the season and buying year-round for our boxes, rather than just one specific time of the year.

Well, I let the girls handle the dispersion, so off they went.

Thankfully this year, OCC had boxes we could just stuff rather than having to buy or wrap them.
Normally when I leave them to a task together, Ash takes charge and Hanna does as told.

What servants hearts they have.

I've been working ALOT . . .like 4:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. ALOT. I've left the kids to fend for themselves for breakfast. I've actually let the girls cook pancakes unsupervised on the griddle. They are expert chefs. They can handle it. Well, look what they surprised me with one morning. The pancake is in a shape of a heart.
Aren't they just precious?

They're In My Closet Already

Not to steal my clothes. . .

but to play dress up.
Does that mean I'm tacky if they would rather use my closest as their dress-up box rather than our actual dress-up box? That's a rhetorical question. Don't answer it! Hee!Hee!

Awana Awards

Awana is such a great program and I am so glad our church participates in it.

The kids are so motivated to memorize a ton of Scripture and hide God's word in their hearts.
The have an awards program at the end of the school year every year. The girls got several awards.
But the biggest reward is the hiding of God's word in their precious hearts.
Every year one child (boy and girl) is chosen out of each grade as the most Christlike. Hanna got that award this year. She was very excited!

Ash was really excited as well. She had gotten some awards for mission projects and some passport projects.
Again, I'm so grateful for this program and for all the people who volunteer their time to make it a success.

Girl Talk

Ash to Hanna: "I'm going to marry the first person who asks me, because no one else may ask me. . .

Me to Ash: "Ash!!!! Are you kidding me? You are beautiful both inside and out. You have a GREAT personality. You have a heart of gold. Plus, baby, you need to make sure whoever you marry loves the LORD."

Hanna: "Yeah, you need to ask him 'What is the Gospel'!!!"

5 girls + 2 friends + 5 fingers = One FUN Girls Day Out!

What a fun girls day my girls and I got to have.

Faith has been wanting some 5 fingers for some time now. She just had her birthday, so we decided to go shopping.

I was so excited!!! I knew my girls would be thrilled, so I kept it as a surprise about our girls' day out.

Faith and her girls came to Ash's soccer game, then we all headed to Macon.

First, we stopped at Chick-fil-A for lunch. We had good food, good conversation, good laughs, and good fun!

We then headed over to Run Fit Sports.

Poor sales guy. . . although he was wearing a really cool pair of 5 fingers. . . he didn't have a clue as to how to fit someone in them.

The "Rayna" in me kicked in and I just had to take over and say, "can we try this size, can we try that size?" Faith and I both knew WAYYYY more than dude about the shoes.

It was funny and we had some really good laughs.

We then headed back to G-town and everyone knows that a good girls' day out HAD to end with dessert.

So. . . back to Chick-fil-A we went. . . for milk shakes!!!!!!!!!

Then we headed to my house and showed Jon Faith's next shoes! She's so rocking them! The kind she got is actually my favorite. . . it keeps all the stuff out that can get into your shoes.

MaeMae wanted to show off her shoes too . . check out the silvery glitter! Maybe 5 Fingers will start making some glitter shoes too:)

Afterwards we traded off kids and the kids got to spend the night with one another.

We're so blessed by our friends that share our same last name!!! It's such a rarity when the Dads, Moms, and kiddos ALL enjoy one another! The LORD has blessed us with many people to share our lives with. . . we are grateful!

I can't wait until our next girls' day out!
