I have to start off by saying that I often joke around and say that Alec is the smartest person in our house. He really is exceptionally gifted. . . and I always tell him that God has blessed him with a great mind, and he must use it for God's glory. But after a conversation I had with him last week, his "blonde" brain came out.
There is this new clothing store coming to town. Last week Alec and I had the following conversation:
A: Mom, is Are You 21 a bar that is opening in _____ (name of our town)?
Me: What are you talking about?
A: You know, that store that is opening up where the Christian book store used to be?
Me: Alec, I have NO idea what you are talking about.
A: Mom, it says Are you 21, and I was just wondering if it was a bar.
Me: (Laughing with the kind of laughter that makes your belly hurt). No baby, that is a clothing store called Rue 21, which means Route 21.
